If you have walked a route I wrote about, found a price that has changed, or spotted something plainly wrong in a post, send it through the form below. Corrections get updated into the article with a date, and the reader who sent them gets credited by first name if they want that.
I answer messages in batches, usually once a week, because the laptop is not always online. Practical questions about buses, border crossings and shoulder-season weather get priority. Collaboration, guest posts and link exchanges are not what this site is for, so those get a polite no rather than a long conversation.
What to put in the first message
Dates, the post you are writing about, where you are setting out from, and who is travelling with you. Say which single thing cannot flex - a booked bed, a fixed week, a return flight - because the useful answer shifts once one date is nailed down. If the question turns on a fare or a timetable, photograph the board instead of describing it, and the whole exchange usually shrinks to one message.
What happens after the first reply
First replies are short: the transfer, the price as I paid it, the hour the last bus leaves. If an older notebook needs checking, I will say how long that takes rather than going quiet. Anything I cannot confirm from the road gets a plain "not sure yet" instead of a guess, and the follow-up arrives with the next town that has signal.
Before writing, it is worth checking Start Here, since most route questions are already answered there, and About explains how the trips are planned and paid for. Everything published on Lone Compass comes from travel I did myself, so context matters more than a template answer.
